Here is a complete, genuine historic newspaper with the following title, date and description: CHARLESTON DAILY COURIER, Charleston, S.C., Feb. 20, 1863 Printed in the dateline is: "Confederate States Of America" which is rarely found on Southern newspapers. First column headlines on the ftpg: "Glorious News From Port Hudson" "Capture Of The Queen Of The West" "Brilliant Conduct Of a Confederate Pilot" "The Yankees Outwitted!" "Details Of The Capture" "Abolition Transport De Sota Burnt!" Also has:"From Richmond" "Movements Of The Enemy--Another Change Of Base--Revolutionary Movements In The West--The Republicans In Favor Of Peace". Interesting item: "A Prayer for Soldiers under the Sentence of Death". A few lite stains in the left margin on the ftpg., lite fold rubbing.
