This is a very nice print, and increasingly rare to find such early baseball images in the illustrated newspapers.

FRANK LESLIE'S ILLUSTRATED, New York, March 30, 1893  Of special interest is installment #7 of "Notable Jews - Adolph S. Ochs" which also includes a photograph of him. FRANK LESLIE'S ILLUSTRATED WEEKLY, New York, May 5, 1892  The front page of this issue is very colorful and shows a horse-drawn coach traveling along a busy New York street, captioned: "A May Morning on Fifth Avenue".
Color front pages of Leslie's were quite rare during the late 19th century.  This is certainly one of the earliest, and perhaps the best we've seen.  The beautiful and vibrant colors make it wonderful for display.  A bit of residue at the spine, but otherwise this issue is in

FRANK LESLIE'S ILLUSTRATED NEWSPAPER from New York, dated Aug. 10, 1867. See the photo below for the terrific full page print captioned:"Fork Grinders, Sheffield, England" is a great print on how silverware was made in the 19th century--great print for any collector of early flatware! This print measures about 9 by 14 inches. This issue is complete in 16 pages with many other unrelated prints, and in nice condition.

FRANK LESLIE'S ILLUSTRATED, New York, Sept. 9, 1865  Among the prints within are: "A Peach Orchard at Cranberry, New Jersey" " with 3 other related prints. "Trout Fishing in the Mountain Streams of Pennsylvania" with an article. "Old St. John's Gate, Quebec, Canada".
The feature is a foldout centerfold of: "Trinity Bay & Heart's Content, Newfoundland...", plus two scenes from New Zealand.

Prints inside include: "Steamers at Anchor in Put-In Bay, Lake Erie" ""Picnic at Put-In Bay, Lake Erie"; a great numismatic item with obverse & reverse prints of the: "Proposed New Cent, U.S. Currency" with text. This was the Indian Head Penny which would be minted from 1859 thru 1909.

The entire front page is taken up with a quite rare print, captioned: "Mrs. Abraham Lincoln, Wife of the President Elect, and Sons" which are  captioned "William" and "Thomas". The top of page 2 has a brief article on them: "Mrs. Lincoln & Her Sons". William, or "Willie", would die in 1862.

FRANK LESLIE'S ILLUSTRATED, New York, Feb. 8, 1868  Perhaps the most notable prints are: "Fortifications at the Entrance to Sitka Harbor" and: "South View of New Archangel (Sitka) from the Deck of the U.S. Steamer Resaca" which also has two related articles on Sitka, Alaska. This is from shortly after the purchase of Alaska by the United States.

This is a single-page print. The print contains a single woodcut engraving captioned: "Capture of the Propeller Fanny in Pamlico Sound, on the 1st of October, by Three Rebel Steamers, while Conveying Men and Stores to the 20th Indiana Regiment, Encamped at Chicamacomico, 40 Miles from Hatteras Inlet - from a Sketch by an Officer of the Indiana Regiment".
The print size is approximately 11.5 x 16 inches and has only minor wear.
