Item #716919DETROIT TIMES, Michigan, April 12, 1955 Perhaps the best headline to be had reporting Jonas Salk and his polio vaccine. In bold letters is: "SALK SERUM WHIPS POLIO ! " with a subhead: "Reveal Results Of Mass Test" and a photo of Dr. Jonas Salk.
This historic announcement was made at Ann Arbor, Michigan, so great to have in a Michigan newspaper.
