Background: The November 13, 1995, capture of Glen Edward Rogers in Madison County, Kentucky, brought a dramatic, nationwide FBI manhunt to an end after a high-speed pursuit on State Route 52 reaching speeds over 100 mph. The chase culminated when a state trooper shot out the tires of Rogers’s vehicle—a stolen Ford Festiva belonging to his recent murder victim, Tina Marie Cribbs—and a police cruiser rammed the car into a ditch near Waco, Kentucky. Captured on film by a local news crew and broadcast across the country, Rogers’s arrest yielded crucial evidence inside the stolen car, including bloodstained clothing, victim jewelry, and stolen identification, which ultimately tied "The Cross-Country Killer" to multiple homicides across the United States and led to his death sentences in both Florida and California.
