When it comes to notable deaths of the world, they don't get too much better than this.
Page 2 has a simple, yet powerful report noting simply: "Died, Sir Isaac Newton, the greatest Mathematician that the World ever knew."
Isaac Newton was an English mathematician, physicist, astronomer, alchemist, theologian, and author widely recognized as one of the greatest mathematicians and physicists of all time and among the most influential scientists. 
Terrific to have this report in a newspaper from the city where he died. We've had a report on his funeral, but this is the first death report we've had in our 46 years.
Four pages, never-trimmed margins, full red tax stamp on the front page, 9 3/4 by 13 inches, very nice condition.

Background: The March 25, 1727, edition of Mist's Weekly Journal published in London features a remarkably concise yet monumental historical notice on page two announcing the death of Sir Isaac Newton, hailing him as "the greatest Mathematician that the World ever knew." Preserved in exceptional condition with its rare never-trimmed margins measuring 9 3/4 by 13 inches and a full red tax stamp displayed prominently on the front page, this four-page artifact captures the immediate contemporary media response to the passing of the preeminent physicist and mathematician just days after his death in London, preceding the grand historic funeral that would ultimately lay him to rest in Westminster Abbey.
