April 05, 1917
EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, April 5, 1917

* World War I - WWI
* America enters (day of)
* Great headline for display

The front page has a nice banner headline: "BILLIONS ASKED FOR DEFENSE; Actual State Of War Expected By End Of Day; AMERICAN SHIP SUNK WITHOUT WARNING" with subheads. (see images) Nice for display. It was on this day that the declaration of war was signed by President Woodrow Wilson.
Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper.
Complete with 12 pages, small library stamp within the masthead, a little irregular along the spine, generally very nice.
