THE BOSTON WEEKLY POST-BOY, New-England, Sept. 11, 1749  This is one of the earliest Boston we have sold in many years. The value of the issue is mostly in its rarity and early date, plus it is quite displayable as two wood engravings are prominent in the masthead, and its relatively small size makes it quite displayable.
The front page haws reports from Europe while the back page has items headed: "Boston" and "Philadelphia" with bits including: "...from Ohio River whither he lately went, on the report we lately had of some French from Canada, intending an expedition to those parts, in order to deprive us of that trade & endeavour to take back some Indians..." with more.
Also: "...we are informed that a part of French and Indians at or near Canso, have lately taken a sloop belonging to this town...". There are no advertisements.
Complete as a single sheet, 8 1/4 by 12 1/4 inches, never-trimmed margins, nice condition.
