SALEM REGISTER, Massachusetts, Nov. 7, 1803 Page 2 has a report from Senate headed: "Louisiana" noting in part: "Be it enacted, That the President of the United States be, and he is hereby authorised to take possession of, andl occupy the territories ceded by France to the United States by the Treaty concluded at Paris on the 30th day of April last..." with more, including a letter headed "Message" from the President concerning the formalities of taking possession of Louisiana.
There is an article: "Louisiana Treaty" noting: "Resolved, that the President of the United States be requested to cause to be laid before this House, a copy of the treaty between the French Republic and Spain..." with more. Even further content concerning Louisiana as can be seen in the photos.
Page 3 has a rather brief but notable item: "On the 25th ult. a Bill was introduced in the Senate of the U.S. to enable the President to take possession of Louisiana, and after a short discussion passed--Yeas 26. Nays 6..." with a bit more.
