* re. separation of church and state in America

Over one-third of a page is taken p with a letter concerning: "The establishment of a Protestant episcopate in America is also very zealously contended for; and is very alarming to a people whose fathers, from the hardships they suffered under such an establishment, were obliged to fly their native country into a wilderness in order peaceably to enjoy their privileges civil & religious..." with more on the issue of separation of church & government.
Another page has: "America" news with a Charleston dateline with a few news items including: "...to prevent future differences with the Indians, besides running the boundary lines between their hunting grounds & the provinces, to remove all suspicions of intended violence...".
Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 1/2 inches, very nice condition.
