August 04, 1914
THE EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, Aug. 4, 1914
* World War I beginning
* Austria - Serbia & more
* "War to end all wars"
The front page has a nice banner headline in red lettering: "GERMANY GIVEN TWELVE HOURS TO ANSWER ENGLISH ULTIMATUM" with various subheads and related photo. (see images) Nice for display. Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper. Rare as such.
Complete with 12 pages, small library stamp within the masthead, a little irregular along the spine, generally nice.
