Page 2 has an interesting letter from a soldier at the "Head Quarters, Greenville" in which he describes the vicinity: "...much pleased with this country...mere trifle here to procure the necessaries of life. The sod is exceedingly good & the climate is healthy. This place is near the head of a branch of the Mississippi and of St. Laurence...interspersed with large intervals, or meadows without a single tree or bush on them...Peace is concluded. The articles were signed the 3rd...The Indians have all left us..." and more.
This is about the Treaty of Greenville in present-day Ohio.
Page 3 has a report concerning Mr. Blanchard and a recent balloon launching.
