September 03, 1906
THE EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, Sept. 3, 1906

* Goldfield NV Nevada
* Lightweight boxing fight (day of)

The top of the front page has a three column headline: "FIGHT FOLLOWERS FILL GOLDFIELD" with subhead. (see) Nice for display. Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper.
Complete with 6 pages, small library stamp within the masthead, a few small binding holes and little wear along the spine, light toning and minor wear at the folds, generally good.

wikipedia notes: Goldfield reached a peak population around 20,000 people in 1906 and hosted a lightweight boxing championship match between Joe Gans and Oscar "Battling" Nelson.
