THE STAR, Island of Guernsey (in the English Channel), May 27, 1944
* German occupation publication
* D-Day invasion to fail ?
A very curious issue, as Guernsey, an English-speaking island, was occupied by the Germans during WWII so all the news was pro-Nazi.
Among the front page reports are: "Futile Air Attacks on the Atlantic Wall" "France Certain Invasion Threat is Doomed to Failure" "Ceaseless Ferocity of Italy Battle" "Germans Destroy 123 Tanks..." and more.
Four pages, 12 by 12 1/2 inches, very nice condition.
