August 29, 1912
EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, Aug. 29, 1912
* William Booth death - burial
* Founder of the Salvation Army
* First General of the charitable org.
The front page has a nice photo of William Booth with heading: "SALVATION ARMY LEADER IS LAID AT REST TODAY" with subhead. (see) Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper.
Complete with 16 pages, two small library stamps within the masthead, irregular along the spine, generally very nice.
