HONOLULU STAR-BULLETIN 2nd EXTRA, Territory of Hawaii, December 7, 1941 An extremely rare issue, likely more scarce than the popular "1st Extra" edition (which commonly turns up as a reprint).
There were four editions of this genuine newspaper, this being the "2nd Extra" as noted in the masthead, with the two line banner headline reading: " DEATHS OVER 400 ON OAHU, LATEST REPORT" with other banner heads including: "Tokyo Announces 'State Of War' With U.S." "Japanese Raids On Guam, Panama Are Reported" "Oahu Blackout Tonight; Fleet Here Moves Out to Sea" and other smaller headlines as well. There are additional reports on the inside pages, particularly pages 2 & 3.
Certainly one of the best primary sources on the bombing of Pearl Harbor, from where it happened, and a rare opportunity for a companion issue to the "1st Extra" for any serious collector. Complete in 8 pages, minimal wear at the margins, generally good condition.
