The back page has a rather notable report on the beginning of the conversion of illumination by gas to illumination by electricity, headed: "Electricity Instead Of Gas".
The report begins: "Many persons...that pour down Fulton St....had their attention attracted yesterday to the lights in several of the stores on both sides of the street. In the place of the usual gas fixtures were those of the Edison Electric Illuminating Company..." with much more descriptive text.
The front page has an article on Edison's s electric railway in Geneva Switzerland.
Eight pages, minor tears at the margins, toning with foxing at the folds, irregular at the spine and partially loose at the spine. Somewhat fragile and should be handled carefully.
