Although a household name today as one of the best golfers of all-time, in 1997 Tiger Woods was a standout whose notoriety was limited to world of golf. But it was the event reported in this issue--his 12 stroke victory at the Masters--that would propel to 21 year-old to international attention where he remains today. This was Tiger's first "major" victory.
