The ftpg. has 2 prints on the: "Massacre at Panama" with text on: "The Walker Movement", being the controversial General William Walker. Walker was a mercenary who organized several private military expeditions into Latin America with the intention of establishing English-speaking colonies under his personal control. Walker usurped the presidency of Nicaragua in 1856 and ruled until 1857, when he was defeated by a coalition of Central American armies. He was executed by the government of Honduras in 1860.
Inside pages have more text on Walker & his expeditions and several more prints as well including: "Battle of Rivas" and "Virgin Bay, Nicaragua...Walker & His Army on Board the Steamer". Also 3 prints on "The Old Brick Church, Corner of Beekman and Nassau Streets, New York".
Sixteen pages, very nice condition.
