BURT'S AMONG THE CLOUDS, Mount Washington, New Hampshire, August 13, 1877 Noted in the masthead: "Printed Daily on the Summit of Mount Washington", although printed only in the tourist season. This was likely the highest-elevation (6,288 ft.) newspaper east of the Mississippi.
As noted by the news reports & advertisements, this was a tourist-themed newspaper. Eight pages, never bound nor trimmed, 10 by 13 inches, nice condition. Many years ago we had many of this title, but currently this is the only issue we have.
