January 20, 1961
THE EVENING STAR, Washington, D.C., January 20, 1961

* John F. Kennedy inauguration (JFK)
* w/ famous quote cited
* Best title to be had ?

Great to have this newspaper from the nation's capital with this banner headline: "Kennedy Sworn In, Bids for Peace" with subheads including: "Inaugural Talk Stresses U.S. Defense Intent" and "35th President Takes Office in Solemn Ritual". Also on the front page is the complete text of the: "Kennedy Speech", being his inaugural address, which carries over to page 4 where is found his famous quote: "...Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country..." (see).
This is a same day report!
Present is the complete first section with pages 1-20 (of 96), with several pages of inaugural-related photos. Some minor perforation at the central fold, various foxing to the front page, generally good condition.
