SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE--EXTRA, Aug. 6 1962
* Death of Marilyn Monroe (1st report)
* Actress, singer, model and sex symbol
A terrific & very displayable issue as the bold banner headline announces: "MARILYN MONROE IS FOUND DEAD" with a subhead: "Overdose Of Sleeping Pills---Star Leaves No Notes" with more.
Given that her fame was gained in Los Angeles and she died there, great to have this report in a California newspaper. This is certainly one of the most desired death reports of any famous figure in American history.
The complete 26 page first section (of 2 or 3?) with more on her on pages 5A & 5B including a wealth of photos (see). Minor wear, generally nice condition.
