August 24, 1728
MIST'S WEEKLY JOURNAL, London, August 24, 1728
* Rare 18th century title
This is a very rare, variant issue of this title, being a broadsheet version done in one column format, presenting just the text of a letter to the publisher signed "Amos Dudge". Most of the focus of the letter is on the leadership of Persia.
I say this is a variant issue as we have had the "regular" edition of this title and date, done in more typical 4 page format & includes the lengthy letter by Amos Dudge, but it also includes other news reports of the day and some advertisements. This content of this letter must have been such that the publisher printed this broadsheet version containing the letter only.
Single sheet, 7 1/4 by 12 3/4 inches which is a bit longer & less wide than the 4 page edition, a tape mend to the back side causing no loss of readability, otherwise good condition.
