BUNKER HILL CENTENNIAL, Boston, June 17, 1875  An interesting commemorative newspaper published to celebrate--obviously--the centennial of the Battle of Bunker Hill, fought June 17, 1775. This issue is dominated by a very large & decorative masthead showing Uncle Sam leaning against the Bunker Hill memorial obelisk. The inside pages feature reprintings of significant items relating to the battle including a map of Boston showing the Provincial camp, another large drawing of the battle, the famous "Mass. Spy" newspaper masthead with the segmented snake, and more.
Eight pages, never-trimmed margins, some wear at margins, generally good.
