THE LONDON GAZETTE, England, June 28, 1686 Typical news of the day from Europe in this newspaper which is the oldest continually published newspaper in the world--started in 1665 and still publishes today.
The back page has amongst its "Advertisements" a reward for a runaway: "...Black Boy about 15 or 16 years of age, in light coloured cloth cloaths, lined with black satin...a scar in his head lately broken...shall have 20 s. reward." (see).
Complete as a single sheet newspaper, 6 3/4 by 11 1/4 inches, very nice condition.
