An inside page (pg 741) has a short letter by Benjamin Franklin, originally written by him in Paris in 1784 (see image). The front page of this issue has a nice masthead of St. John's Gate and contains news & stories from around the world during this very early time in history. The issue is in nice condition due to the use of cotton and rag paper used during this time in history. All plates that are present (2) are shown in the photos. A nice period item form the 18th century.
