NEW YORK WORLD-TELEGRAM, May 5, 1961  The ftpg. has a two line banner head: "ASTRONAUT MAKES IT; 'MAN, WHAT A RIDE ! ' " marking America's successful entry into the manned space race. Also a large photo of "Astronaut Alan B. Shepard Jr. striding toward rocket..." (see). One of the subheads is: "Kennedy Vows Bigger Effort In Space Race".
The complete first section with pgs. 1-24, very nice condition.
