FARMER'S MUSEUM, OR LITERARY GAZETTE, Walpole, New Hampshire, June 9, 1804  Page 3 carries a report under "OFFICIAL" "As a testimonial of the PRESIDENT's high opinion of the gallant conduct of Lieutenant DECATUR, in taking and destroying the frigate Philadelphia, a commission to him as captain in the Navy has been duly issued, and will without delay be transmitted to Commodore Preable, to be presented to him".  Other news and advertisements are within the issue as well.

Complete in four pages measuring 17.5 x 11 inches with scattered foxing, subscriber name in upper margin, otherwise in good condition.
