THE NEW YORK TIMES, New York, July 1, 1865 The front page of this issue features a report "Interesting Torpedo Test - Distinguished Naval Officers Present" which is on "... showing the terribly destructive power of an implement of war which American genius has evolved during the rebellion -- the various specimens of percussion and submarine shells which have been extensively used in blowing up vessels, removing harbor and river obstructions, and adapted to torpedo-steamers, etc..." Also on the front page is the report of "Base Ball - The Ex-Champions Eckfords vs. The Newark Club" which also includes the box score.
This is complete in 8 pages with some lite scattered foxing, otherwise in very nice condition.
