July 04, 1845
DAILY NATIONAL INTELLIGENCER, Washington, D.C., July 4, 1845 We occasionally find that the 4th of July is an occasion for newspapers to reprint the Declaration of Independence, but almost never do we see issues reprint the complete Constitution of the United States, with the amendments as well (twelve at this time). Over half of page 2 is taken up with this, including the Preamble which begins: "We the People of the United States..." (see). Included also are the two documents concerning approval & ratification of the Constitution signed in type by: Go. Washington.
Four pages, minor loss near the spine on the back leaf, nice condition.
