FRANK LESLIE'S ILLUSTRATED NEWSPAPER, New York, Sept. 2, 1876  The ftpg. has both an article headed: "The Sioux War - Further Sketches from Gen. Crook's Army" and two illustrations, one of: "Fort Phil Kearney as it Appeared June 5th" and the other: "The Grand Council Held at General Crook's Headquarters on Goose Creek, June 15th" (see).
Inside has some images concerning the Philadelphia Centennial, but one leaf has a piece cut out making this a defective issue. The loss does not relate to the Indian content or prints.
Never bound nor trimmed, 16 pages, some wear at margins.
