Fascinating document for providing pay to an officer of the Revolutionary War. The document is totally handwritten and reads: "Sir, Pay Maj. John Ripley three hundred pounds L. money & charge the state, June 16th, 1778." Includes two signatures (see).
Measures 6 1/4 by 8 inches, totally handwritten, excellent condition. A nice item for display and dated from the middle of the Revolutionary War.
