ARMY & NAVY JOURNAL, New York, Nov. 14, 1863 As noted in the masthead this was the: "Gazette of The Regular & Volunteer Forces" and as such is replete with military news of all sorts.
The prime content in this issue is: "The Battle OF Gettysburg" "General Meade's Official Report" which is signed by him in type: Geo. G. Meade. This report takes close to two columns and has much detail.
The entire front page is taken up with: "The Military Situation" with various war-related reports. Among the inside pages are: "The Battle of Chickamauga" "The Hotchkiss Shell" "Union Officers In the Hands of the Rebels" takes close to a full column; "Casualties Among Officers" "The Removal of General Rosecrans" "The Battle of Bristoe Station - Rebel Official Report" which is signed in type: R.
