Latest by Telegraph - From Fortress Monroe - Approach of a Rebel Army - Hampton Burnt By the Rebels - Rebel Attempt to Cross Hampton Bridge - The Assailants Repulsed - Information from a Deserter - A Flag of Truce from Norfolk". The front page features a report "THE BULL RUN BATTLE - General McDowell's Official Report" which is slightly more than a full column in length. Another front page report is "From Missouri - An Important Arrest - Latest Movements of General Lyon" where it states "...The report of Gen. Lyon's death is untrue, he having been in Springfield on Monday morning...". Other news and advertisements are within the issue.
