THE LONDON GAZETTE, London, England, August 8, 1761 The second page of this issue contains "The humble Address of His Majesty's Council and the General Assembly of the province of New Jersey" which is sending condolences upon the death of the Royal Grandfather. Also on the same page is an address of the Lieutenant Governor, council and Burgesses of Virginia sending the same. Page three, "Admiralty Office" contains the report of the Ship Three Brothers which was laden with coal, sprung a leak, took on so much water that they landed the boat in order to save lives, "where she is entirely lost". The front page of the issue also contains a proclamation given by the King "For recalling and prohibiting Seamen from serving foreign Prices and Sates: for giving Encouragement to Seamen and able-bodied Landmen to enter themselves on Board His Majesty's Ships of War; and for granting Rewards for discovering such Seamen as shall conceal themselves."
This is four pages, evenly browned with some dampstaining, closetrimmed at the bottom with slight text loss.
