Page 3 has an item noting: "...There can be no doubt but Ethan Allen means to promote the cause of government, & to defeat the purposes of the Congress, though his motives are private & mercenary; and it is probable that  he is furnished from Canada with the hard dollars & substantial guineas with which he is purchasing provisions to fill his magazines at Skeensborough...hazard an opinion that in the course of the summer we shall hear of a British army coming from Canada...to Albany accommodated with those very provision which Allen is collecting..." with more. A bit further on is: "The Americans, from an exalted degree of prosperity & glory, have rapidly declined; their army is recruiting with difficulty, badly clothed, ill fed, and worse paid; their marine almost annihilated, their treasury empty & their finances in the utmost disorder..." and more (see).
Four pages, never-trimmed margins, a full red tax stamp on pg. 3, water staining at the bottom margins, folio size, generally good.
