* Battle of Camden SC South Carolina
* Revolutionary War from the enemy
The entire ftpg. is taken up with a continuation of: "Letters from Cicero to Catiline the Second" which has some reference to the American situation on taxes, etc., bits including: "...And were not the taxes of Britons, and the number of her armies increased, to make up the deficiency...offered to drop the act for raising a stamp duty in America provided the colonist would grant...their reasonable aids towards the support of their own civil establishment & the national defence...Not to oppress--not to injure, much less to reduce the Americans to slavery..." and more (see for portions).
Page 2 includes: "...express from Lord Cornwallis; he came in a packet from Charlestown [Charleston]...said to have given a full account of the battle which has been confidently believe to have taken place on the 7th." which is likely King's Mountain, with a bit more in the next column (see).
Another page has reports from the Boston Gazette with reports on the battle of Camden, South Carolina, including some detailed information from Col. Williams (see). And the bkpg. has an interesting assessment of the progress of war in the South (see).
Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 1/4 inches, very nice condition.
