Here is a large foldout city scene of New York City from the November 26, 1853 (supplement) issue of Illustrated London News.
This 36 x 24 inch print shows the city of New York (Manhattan) as it was just 8 years prior to the civil war. Nice river front detail showing many paddlewheel and sail boats.
Also two smaller scenes along the top and bottom margins. (see)
Such prints are rarely ever found in nice condition as they were usually severely cut up or not bound at all.
This particular print does have a somewhat large tape mend (see) with little staining. Also little margin wear but nothing too disfiguring nor any pieces missing. Good condition compared to what they usually are found like.
