The front page has a nice one column print of the "Battle Flag of the Eighteenth North Carolina Regiment" with descriptive text on it as well (see photos). This also looks very much like the Confederate flag of which we are more familiar.
The front page also has much reporting on the Civil War with nice one column heads (see photos).
Complete in 8 pages, some minor margin tears, good condition.
