October 22, 1783
THE CONNECTICUT JOURNAL, New Haven, Connecticut, Oct. 22, 1783  The ftpg. include: "...to represent the disaffection of the continental offices to the proceedings of Congress should be credited with extreme caution..." and further on: "...it appears that the United States have lost 80,000 men during the war. A very considerable part of these unhappy victims died in prison ships and goals." Also: "We are surprised to hear that any doubts have arisen in America respecting the time when the cessation of hostilities took place there...the declaration of the cessation of hostilities, referred to in the above extract is dated February 20, 1783."

Page 2 has a bit concerning a statue of George Washington to be erected in Dublin, Ireland (see).

Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, browning over most of the issue but causing no loss of readability, mild wear at the ftpg. folds. Mostly nice.
