HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, Nov. 25, 1865 Taking most of an inside page are portraits of the members of the Atlantic Baseball cCub of Brooklyn, captioned: "'Champion Nine' Of The Atlantic Base-Ball Club of Brooklyn, L.I., 1865." Includes a brief article about the club (see).
Taking a fullpg. are two prints: "Execution Of Captain Henry Wirz--Adjusting The Rope" & "Execution Of Wirz--Lowering The Body". Another pg. has a 4 1/2 by 4 1/2 inch Illus: "Execution Of Wirz--The Old Capital Prison, Washington, D.C." Also has a 7 by 4 1/2 inch print: "Members Of The Press Awaiting The Execution Of Wirz".
A fullpg. has a large illus: "The Balloon Bridal Party Starting On Its Aerial Tour From Prof. Lowe's Amphitheatre, Central Park, Nov. 8, 1865", plus a 7 by 4 1/2 inch inset of: "Prof. Boynton, Prof. Lowe & Miss Jenkins".
