THE PENNSYLVANIA EVENING POST, Philadelphia PA, September 21, 1775
* Declaring cities in a state of rebellion
* Revolutionary War original from America
Half of the front pagee is taken up with the continued: "Speech of Edmund Burke on Moving his Resolutions for Conciliation with the Colonies, March 22, 1775" which carries over to take almost all of pg. 2, then continues in a future issue.
Page 2 & 3 have an "Anecdote of Colonel Grant".
Page 3 contains various reports relating to the Revolutionary War including: "...That gov. Tryon...received a letter from Lord Dartmouth...orders had been given to the commanders of his Majesty's ships in America, that in case any more troops should be raised, or any fortifications erected, or any of his Majesty's stores taken, that the commanders of the ships of war should consider such cities or places in a state of rebellion."
Also an item ending: "...that a number of troops under the command of Col. Arnold marched for Quebec ...that the inhabitants of Boston were not near so sickly as they had been some time ago." A few other bits as well.
The back page is filled with ads including a "Ten Dollars Reward" for a runaway Irish servant, with details, and a "Six Pence Reward" for a runaway man. Quarto-size, 4 pages, generally in nice condition.
