Among the topics discussed is paragraph about Base Ball stating: "Our great national game is pretty successfully burlesqued here. All sorts of matches are made and played. Since it has been discovered that the game has been turned into a gambling and betting institution people have lost all respect for it". Back page has a detailed summary and box score of game played between the Eckford and Athletic clubs. Lite foxing in a few places.
