* The Battle Of Antietam
* Another Graphic Description of This Great Fight

* Another Account of This Great Battle by One of Our Special War Correspondents.
Included on the front page is: "The President's Despatch" which reads:
* I now consider it safe to say that General McClellan has gained a great victory over the great rebel army in Maryland, between Frederick and Hagerstown. He is now pursuing the flying force." signed in type: A. Lincoln.
The Battle of Antietam would be the bloodiest day's fighting of the entire war, with both sides losing over 10,000 men in killed & wounded. There are many more Civil War reports on the inside pages.
Complete in 8 pages, a printing crease affecting the last column (no loss of text), otherwise in great condition.
