The back page has a detailed report: "The Capture Of New Orleans" and the Official Report Of Commodore Porter--Captain Bailey's Official Report Begins with a report, signed in type: Theodorus Bailey.

This is followed by a "General Order" from the third day of the bombardment that includes the "Order Of The Fleet", signed in type: D. G. Farragut. There is also a dispatch that begins: "I am happy to announce to you that our flag waves...at New Orleans over the Custom House...", signed in type: D. G. Farragut.

There are some additional details, plus the "Articles Of Capitulation", signed by several officers. The content concludes with the official report of Captain Porter, signed in type: David B. Porter.

Front page reports include: "Letter From New Orleans" "Latest from Fort Pillow" and "The Battle of Farmington". Printed in the dateline is: "Confederate States Of America" which is rarely found on Southern newspapers.

Bit of lite rubbing on the front page, lite stains in the upper and lower left corners, some lite foxing.
