THE PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, Sept. 16, 1862.

* Nice front page civil war map
* General Jesse L. Reno print

The front page features a rather large map headed: "SCENE OF OUR RECENT VICTORIES." which shows much detail of the battle grounds from Washington, D.C. north to Gettysburg, Pa., and from Winchester, Va., to Baltimore, Md. (see). Over half of the ftpg. is taken up with a large number of war-related heads including: "A Glorious Victory For The Union!" "The Battle of Middletown Heights" "Longstreet Sent to Reinforce the Rebels" "General McClellan in Hot Pursuit" "General Reno Killed" "Morgan At Lexington" and more (see photos). The balance of the ftpg. is taken up with Civil War reports, in addition to much on the inside pgs. as well. This was the day before the battle of Antietam.

The back page features a nice print of "General Reno" with a bio on him as well (see).
