LUCIFER THE LIGHT-BEARER, Chicago, Sept. 25, 1896.A rather unusual
title, an explanation of this newspapers name appears on pg. 2 stating
in part: The name Lucifer means Light-Bringing or Light-Bearing and the
paper that has adopted this name stands For Light against Darkness, For
Reason against Superstition, For Science against Tradition..., plus
mention that Lucifers specialty is Sexology, or Sexological Science,
believing this to be the Most Important of all Sciences... Has topical
reports, commentary and ads. Measures about 20 by 13 inches, has 4
pages, minor fold wear causes two small holes in the first leaf, small
stain on the ftpg., archival mends to a few minor tear at the top of
each leaf, & to two at the spine, otherwise in good condition.
