HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, August 3, 1872  Front 1/3 page illustration of :"Grant and Education at the South-Learning to Read." Inside has a full page Thomas Nast illustration of "Baltimore 1861-1872."; a 1/4 page portrait of "The Hon. Thomas Settle, of North Carolina."; a 2/3 page Thomas Nast illustration entitled "Diogenes has Found the Honest Man-(Which is Diogenes, and Which is the Honest Man?).". and a 1/2 page illustration of "The Children's Picnic Excursion-Organized by the New York "Times".
The double page centerfold is "The Last Lot." (Horse); a 1/2 page illustration of "The Women's Day at the Free Bathing Houses-Waiting for Admittance."; and a 1/2 page illustration of "Street Arabs Taking a Foot Bath.".
There are many small illustrations pertaining to "Lonson: A Pilgrimage. "Two 2/3 page illustration entitled "At Lunch" and "Finish of the Race."  Another 2/3 page illustration of "Returning Home."
Complete in 16 pages, good condition, and contains additional prints and related text.
