HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, July 4, 1868  A great full frontpage illustration entitled: 'Grounds of the White House, Washington, on a Saturday Afternoon in June'. A quarter-page illustration "Hon. Reverdy Johnson, of Maryland". A half page illustration with accompanying article "The German Saengerfest Societies in Wabash Avenue Rink, Chicago".  A terrific doublepage centerfold: 'Cadet Life At West Point' shows 13 scenes, including 'Presentation of Diplomas by Gen. Grant'. A full page features two scenes: 'N.Y. Yacht Club Regatta'. A one-third page: 'Explosion of a Steam Fire Engine in the Bowery, New York'. "Disraeli and Gladstone" article also features a one-third page illustration featuring their illustrations. The back page features a Thomas Nast political cartoon "A Wild-Goose Chase".
Complete in 16 pages and contains additional prints and related text.
