HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, January 30, 1869 The front page features a full page illustration of 'Great Fire in Philadelphia - Destruction of Caldwell's Jewelry Establishment on Chestnut Street' shows a large building in flames, with a fire engine and fire fighters. Inside is 'The Chicago River Tunnel' which shows 5 views. 'View of the New Hospital at Cincinnati, Ohio' also has an accompanying article. 'Little Street Peddlers Before the Commissioners of Charity, New York City', 'The Franking Abuse - Free Bags Leaving the Washington Post Office', 'The Naval Academy Ball at Annapolis, Maryland, January 8, 1869', and 'Reception Room at General Grant's Head-Quarters, Washington, D.C.' are all half-page illustrations. "The Highlands of Brazil - Fortnightly Slave Muster at the Casa Grande, Morro Velho" features an accompanying article.
Complete in 16 pages, in good condition, and contains additional prints and related text.
