THE ROCKINGHAM REGISTER, Harrisonburg, Virginia, Jan. 22, 1864  We believe this to be the first Confederate newspaper from Harrisonburg we have offered.
Among the front page reports are: "The Work of Retaliation Commenced" "Bloody Work in Tennessee" "The Confederate Graves of New Orleans" "Gen. Pat. R. Cleburn" "Interesting From Texas" "The Crisis" and more.
Back page reports as well including "From the Rapidan" "Bad Conduct" "Feed The Army" and more, including a letter signed in type by: J.E.B. Stuart.
Complete as a folio size single sheet newspaper, wide margins, nice condition. The folder size noted is for the issue folded in half.
